"Deaf Eye"

Sonny: Mommy, Tyson hit me!

Tyson: I didn't hit you Sonny!

Sonny: YES you did Tyson!

Me: Tyson did you hit him?!

Sonny: Yes he did!

Tyson: I never hit you Sonny!

Me: Sonny are you sure he hit you?

Sonny: Well maybe he didn't hit me, cause sometimes I don't see so good out of my deaf eye.

Smile, it's good for your soul!

Motivational Mondays & A Few Hundred Prayers!

Can I get a drum roll Pullease!...

Before I begin, I feel like you should be listening to the theme song of "Rocky" right now, that's okay it's in your head now. Good just hum that while I tell you how our week of juicing went...

First & foremost I'm going to give thanks to God, who single handedly carried two whiny babies through this week!; Thank-you Lord that must have been an unbearable task.

The first 3 days of our juicing journey was pretty intense, the no coffee was killing me. I would go to work and sniff the coffee beans (don't judge me:) Nathan's body was really stiff & sore; and then a light bulb went off in his cute little man brain that it just may have been the 2 hours of baseball practice with the kids.

We have watched some very motivational videos to help us along the way; I must say I have yet to see one with 4 kids climbing anyone "juicing":) Did I mention the no coffee part yet??? Oh yeah I did already. There are still four breakfasts, lunches & dinners that need to be made! Initially low energy was a huge problem, I felt like the walking dead, run over by a bus. But now on day eight, I can actually open my eyes before smelling brood coffee! That's a huge victory in itself! It's strange to think, but we haven't chewed food in eight days! We have noticed that our little spongy kiddies are all over this juicing kick, they've even been brave enough to try the dark green ones! Our eyes have also opened to the fact that as healthy as we thought we were feeding our kids, we can do a heck of a lot better!

So overall, we're redefining what healthy feels and looks like, it's a journey baby!
A juicing journey!

Thank-you Lord;
For new mercies everyday & for answering a few hundred prayers!

Happy Birthday Peanut!

Apparently Elton John will be performing at Jackie's party, we're SO excited! I can't wait to hear Rocket Man!

The Birthday Peanut, in all her glory!

We just spent the day admiring & squeezing this sweet little Birthday Peanut! 5?! What?! How did I blink & have a 5 year old Peanut?! FIVE?! I can't believe it. It's strange to think that one day we will take that little itty bitty hand and place it every sooo carefully into the hands of another. Okay scratch that! I'm good, reality check! She's only FIVE for heavens sakes! We were a tad dissapointed when Elton did'nt show up for his big gig but you know how it is with celebs, they're SO unpredictable! A big Thank-you goes out to Gramma & Poppa for making Jackie's special day, extra special! With or without Elton, it was a Birthday Smash!

Thank-you Lord;
You know our hearts & you answer prayers:) May our Peanut grow in your likeness all the days of her life.

Motivational Mondays!

Each Monday I will be using my "Motivational Monday" platform to track mine & Nate's journey of Juicing. That's right we're Juicing baby! We are WAY overdue for a reboot! We are both "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" you can watch our source of inspiration by clicking the above link. Nate & I are equally guilty of loving all things bad. Is this conducive to living out our faith as Christians, you may ask? No, is clearly the answer. No judgments necessary:) we're our own toughest critics. Over eating? check! Over indulging? check! Over consuming? check! Loving Jesus, while living in utter sin & denial? check! Convicted by the Holy Spirit on all of the above? check! Ready to pick up our Crosses & follow the Man who has already conquered all of the above for us? check! Please follow along with us on our journey of faith, hope & re-booting baby!

Thank-you Lord, we know that ALL things are possible through Him who gives us strength!

Top 3 Things I HATE!

That's right I said it, HATE! There is absolute hate in my heart, I downright loathe and detest the following things;

1) keeping track of, health cards, passports, birth certificates, bank cards, library cards, or any other form of important paperwork! Here's a rant!; why please for the love of God, WHY??? do we have so much paperwork in what should be a paperless world???!!! Why on earth can I NOT keep track of this? It's "important" stuff to take care of & costly to replace! But I can't seem to concern or bother myself with it, until it's imperative that I need it!

2) Trashy magazines! Hate! With a capital H! Again why does this garbage get bought with hard earned dollars? Does anybody else out there look at a trashy magazine & then think to themselves "so this is what we've reduced a beautiful tree to???!!!" Why is it acceptable to reduce the beauty of a tree into gossip & smut?!

3) Taxes! I love paying taxes, when taxes are appropriately distributed and used for the good things they're supposed to be used for. I hate paying taxes to line the pockets of the GREEDY, rather than helping to feed the NEEDY! Also re-read rant #1 for further details on why I HATE taxes! There's an immeasurable amount of "important" papers involved!

4) I think that might do it for now, okay arrogance & self righteousness are also on my list of HATES! (But on a side note; I have a hard time ranting about things I'm equally guilty of from time to time!)

That's it, I can exhale now. That actually made me feel a little better!

What sort of things are on your top 3?
Feel free to share your thoughts!

It's Muder's Day, Go Brush Your Teef!

I woke up this morning to Jackie kissing my face & saying; "wake up mommy your bref stinks, go brush your teef because it's Muder's Day!" I of course brushed my "teef" straight away & came down the stairs to find this beautiful breakfast waiting for me compliments of Sonny:) Now I ask you how on earth did he know that my absolute favourite breakfast is warm bread with fake cheese??? yummy! Jackie opened up the gift she made for me at school & then asked if she could keep it in her room? Tyson made me a paper airplane & then asked if he could "borrow" it for the day? Handsome Prince William made me the beautiful flower pot at school & gave me strict orders "not to kill it like you did last year." Happy Muder's Day! Now go brush your teef!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Being a Mother!

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby
That somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, "Normal", is history!

Somebody said being a mother is boring...
That somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit!

Somebody said that if your're a "good mother, your child will turn out good,"
That somebody thinks that a child comes with directions and a guarantee!

Somebody said that "good" mother's never raise their voices,
That somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball into the neighbor's kitchen window!

Somebody said that you don't need an education to have a child,
That somebody has never helped their fourth grader with math homework!

Somebody said that you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the first,
That somebody doesn't have five children!

Somebody said that the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery,
That somebody has never watched their child step on the bus for their first day of kindergarten!

or on a plane headed for the military...

Somebody said that you can stop worrying after your child gets married,
That somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new Son or Daughter-in-Law to her heartstrings!

Somebody said that a mother can do her job blind folded with her hands tied behind her back,
That somebody has never organized giggling Brownies to go and sell cookies!

Somebody said that a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home,
That somebody never had Grandchildren!

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her,
That somebody isn't a mother!

Now I hope that I have done a good job in my research to credit this beautiful piece to it's original source?!

(Thank-you to the Author of this wonderful Mother's Day piece!)

Tell your Mama you LOVE her today & every day that follows!
And if you're sad today because this day reminds you that you don't have your Mama, Hug a special woman in your life that deserves to know how very precious she is!

The Great I Am

Blessings friends, this song just revs me up! Enjoy, I hope it lifts you up, fills you up & brings your soul some comfort and joy!

Let's lift our hands and voices and praise the one who created the heavens & the earth. I constantly forget things, so I am always delighted and surprised when I hear a song that fills me with worship for God. I often forget that when I'm feeling low, I can just turn on some worship music to lift my spirits again...it works every time, God never fails to lift me up! God doesn't want us worshiping Him because He's an ego maniac, He wants us to worship Him with our whole hearts because He knows what is best for us. We were made to worship His glory. It soothes and comforts our souls when we are unsettled. I dare you to try it! If for whatever reason you're feeling a little low, pump some worship music & just try to stay low...you won't be able to! God will lift you out of your funk EVERY TIME! I have to remember this, because I all too often forget that it's really that simple.
God + Worship Music = Lifted Spirits!

Enjoy & have a wonderful day filled with God's goodness!

Let Us ALL Unite!

Take a moment & watch this, it is an AMAZING speech! Charlie Chaplin gives this speech in the movie The Great Dictator. I hear this playing on the radio from time to time coming home from work. I drive up the mountain coming home day in & day out, every now & then I get the privilege of hearing this. My heart soars every time I hear it & I know yours will too!

Blessings & Love Baby! Blessings & Love.
